Great experience with India Posts recently
I used to complain a lot about India posts. The reason is that it was the only government department that took a very long time to get upgraded. Even today, I'm not sure if they are fully upgraded or not, but they do have plans for a high level of digitalization. But I used to have bitter experiences with the Postal Department. Throughout India, we keep talking about digitalization and digital India, but the postal department was the only department that did not digitalize very well. Even if I have to buy a stamp, I have to pay only in cash. I'm not sure if that has changed now, but many things have changed.
I recently visited their website, and I'm glad to see so many features there. If they get all those features working, India posts will definitely be a great government department fulfilling all the logistical needs of the people. There is a huge demand for logistics, and there is going to be heavy demand in the future as well. If they do it right, I think the Postal Department can even become a monopoly in this. Who knows what can happen in the future?

Scope is heavy for logistics
We have to admit that logistics is something that is in high demand these days. People want to get things moving without just sitting in one place. There are so many individual business people and businesses that rely heavily on logistics. Flipkart and Amazon have a solid foundation set to deliver their goods very fast. They even have some premium features where people pay extra money to get their items even faster.
Imagine if this scope is fulfilled by India Post. I think the direction in which the postal department is moving is really amazing, and they now have a good digital service where people can book packages just by sitting at home and paying for them. That's one great improvement that I have seen on their website. Even though I have not tested this feature yet, I think it is a great option for people who want to send articles in bulk or larger packages. But I'm not sure how the postal department would evaluate based on the weight. That's one thing that is a gray area for me, and I might get clarity if I use this feature.
