Nomic: A game for Steemit?

The game Nomic was invented by Peter Suber as an exercise in the complications of law-making and self-referential systems.

The game is simple, you vote to change the rules.

Warning: something can be simple and yet be quite hard, take furniture moving as an example!

People take turns presenting rules, the change is discussed, and voting happens. If the vote goes up, the rule is implemented. Most of the rules that get made are rules to change the way votes are cast or counted.

Fans of the old handwritten game have developed various ways to make the game work online, and some have been running for years. Side games are invented within the game, logic circles are created for fun, people are voted lifetime dictators and then voted out of office, wackiness ensues.

Just as a preliminary suggestion, I think that for the purposes of Steemit, since we don't have any down votes, two or more competing rule changes would have to be scheduled, then counts taken at 24 hours to decide the winner.

It's difficult to find a group of people that can play Nomic, in fact, I am not a great one to be playing because I get too involved in the detail, and I tend to take contrary positions. But if any place is able to play the game online, it is Steemit.
