Is AI the solution to crypto’s onboarding and retention problems?

70% of crypto wallet users make only one transaction and leave. The entry experience itself bleeds users before they even get started.

Crypto's leading structural weakness is that it is unable to retain users and as a result, fails to attract the masses.

Product interfaces are still too complex for everyday users. From managing seed phrases to deciphering blockchain transactions, onboarding feels more like navigating a maze than joining a financial revolution.

Oftentimes, trying to solve these friction layers lead to breaking what makes crypto different from traditional finance.

Trying to eliminate the need to understand seed phrases and keeping them safe, usually leads to embracing traditional onboarding tech that brings significant exposure to centralized factors that effectively makes crypto use less decentralized and secure.

Natural language

A lot of people aren't quite understanding just how significant the success of AI is to future tech innovations.

The single most valuable thing about AI is its default access point being natural language, specifically to the end users.

The one reason I believe AI can potentially play a crucial role in solving crypto's onboarding and retention problems is because of natural language processing.

When all it takes to complete tasks is natural language, the growth potential across industries becomes limitless.

AI agents for instance can improve crypto user experience by translating complex blockchain mechanics into intuitive, guided interactions that any user can navigate with confidence.

Need to create a wallet? Just say it to an AI agent with natural language.

Need to perform a transaction? Just say it naturally.

Need to find investment opportunities across the DeFi ecosystem and actually understand the risk factors and rewards potential? You can find out using natural language.

This can be English, French or whatever else. Whichever one is your natural language will not stop you, even as a complete newbie.

Certainly, AI has its risks and I'm not saying that it is perfect in itself or even that it's the best “option” for the crypto industry, but it's definitely up there and with decentralized AI solutions being in active developments, there's almost a certainty that AI becomes fundamental to crypto and its inherently natural language command design will make it instrumental to onboarding and retention solutions for the market.
