lil side project

Hey guys I was helping my sister with a sign for her library week at school. Soooo heres how I did it

I started off with a lil sketch of how Im gonna lay out the design with some pencil so I can rub off any mistakes

Planning is pretty important and make sure you measurements first unlike my first attempt

(I know the quality and lighting is pretty crap but ill get better equipment.....hopefully)
Pick an art medium to fill in the sketch you made. Personally I would just grab anything that looked kinda pretty like this sakura koi brush pen
The shade is called peacock green if anyone was curious.

So heres the first layer. I thought it was a lil plain so I made it a little ombre-ish just to spruce things up
annndd then I just added highlights to it hahah
