Cyber Commandos

Number of Cyber Crimes have increased many times over over the last couple of years all around the world.

Many Indians have also been becoming the victims of such crimes. Indian Home Minister Amit Shah has announced the formation of a team 5000 highly trained people for the prevention and investigation of such crimes. They are calling them "Cyber Commandos.

He also promised a separate portal to share information about cyber crimes.

A plan to curb cyber frauds will be formulated involving representatives of leading banks, financial intermediaries, telecom service providers, IT intermediaries and law enforcement agencies in the state.

These cyber coordination teams have been formed in Mewat, Jamtara, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Visakhapatnam and Guwahati and are getting good response.

As the part of the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Center, awareness programs are being conducted through various social media platforms as a first step.
