can you see me?

can you see me
in the light?
or am i easier to see
with the lights off?
for i can show up either way
but in both ways, you'll need
to open your eyes
because if you close them
then you will not see me
and i will only seem dark.
if you open them
and you still can't see me
then you've overexposed yourself
with too much of my light.
i am in the space between
where you have your eyes
open and closed
where you see me
and you see yourself.
i am the place
where the light finds its balance
and the darkness has its place.
together we live in harmony
i am with you here
can you see me now?
