Beyond The Heart
A friend published a short theological reflection on Facebook about the failure of EDSA 1986 after four decades. I wrote the comment below:
As they say, "the heart of the problem is the problem of the heart," and no political solution is capable of accomplishing such an internal transformation. However, even though a spiritual solution, such as the gospel, starts with the heart, it does not end there. We cannot privatize spirituality and confine it to inner transformation. Genuine heart transformation affects our mindsets, behavior, and relationships, and compels us to work to see such change in institutions and economic systems, including the monetary system, which, to my mind, is the most misunderstood system by many.
