WEEK 14 Question Response
This post is a response to @allisonmckinney question, "If you were to become an entrepreneur what would be the best form of promotion for you?" For a long time, I used to want to go into medical school and become a dermatologist. I wanted to major in business and take science prerequisites that OSU-COM wants. With that, I wanted to have a private practice with a couple partners. However, I have changed my opinion on going into medical school, so I am sticking with my Management degree. If I were sticking with having a private practice, I would say that having market entrepreneurship would be most beneficial. I would want to be able to do what I want in my private practice, that's why I didn't want to work in a hospital. Although participating in market entrepreneurship is risky, I would much rather do that than having political entrepreneurship. With political entrepreneurship, one partners with the government in hopes to stop competition. I wouldn't want to do this, I think it is kind of selfish, plus having competition can be beneficial. More customers might like my private practice than others. In fact, in my private practice, I wanted to incorporate my faith into my work as well as having my clients feel as comfortable as possible. Unfortunately, I don't think I would be able to do that being a political entrepreneur. Also, I don't really like the government being involved in my affairs, so I wouldn't really want to be working with the government more than I have to. I am not sure if I want to do anything else in the entrepreneurial field anymore. Since I am not going to medical school, I am not really sure what I want to do. I don't want to necessarily own a business, but if I were too, it would be a private practice.
