That Little Chap Who Follows Me

Hello Steemians,

It's been a long while since the last time i came around. Av been quite busy attending to paid work on Facebook social platform and i must confess that it's not really been very easy for me in as much as i still miss my active participation here on Steemit.

I stumbled across this piece of poetry while sourcing data for my work, it pleased me big time and i felt like to take a few minutes of my time to share it here too.

THAT LITTLE CHAP WHO FOLLOWS ME

A careful man I want to be
a little fellow follows me.
I do not dare to go astray,
for fear he’ll go the self-same way.
I cannot once escape his eyes.
Whatever he sees me do he tries.
Like me he says he’s going to be

that little chap who follows me…

He knows that I am big and fine
And believes in every word of mine.
The base in me he must not see

that little chap who follows me...

But after all it’s easier,
that brighter road to climb,
With little hands behind me,
to push me all the time.
And I reckon I’m a better man
than what I used to be…
Because I have this lad at home
who thinks the world of me.

The author of this piece must be a creative minded writer, some kinda person i would really love to read more of his work and i do wish more flows to his ink.
