My refuge on nostalgic days🌿✨

Today, Sunday, I've been feeling a little nostalgic. Some news from my country stirred my emotions and left me reflecting on the circumstances we emigrants live in. Sometimes these moments are filled with joy, and other times with deep sadness for the losses we feel from afar. In both cases, nostalgia always finds a way to make itself felt.✨

Hoy domingo he estado un poco nostálgica. Algunas noticias que llegan desde mi país me movieron los sentimientos y me dejaron reflexionando sobre las circunstancias que vivimos quienes hemos emigrado. A veces son momentos llenos de alegría, y otros de profunda tristeza por las pérdidas que se sienten a la distancia. En ambos casos, la nostalgia siempre encuentra la manera de hacerse presente.✨

In search of serenity, I felt the need to take refuge in something that would help me calm my mind and center my heart, so I set out to do what I enjoy so much: creating with my hands. On a rainy Sunday, accompanied by a cup of coffee, I took out my jewelry-making tools and materials and set about designing a new accessory. As I chose the pieces and combined colors, I felt my thoughts gradually quiet down until I felt a sense of calm.🌿✨

Today, I am deeply grateful for my skills, because in moments like these, creating with my hands calms me and makes me feel like time stands still and my attention is focused only on what I am doing. In recent years, creating has allowed me to meditate in a simple and natural way, without effort, to find a refuge of peace, and a way to heal.🌿✨

En busca de serenidad, sentí la necesidad de refugiarme en algo que me ayudara a calmar la mente y centrar el corazón, así que me dispuse a hacer lo que tanto disfruto: crear con mis manos. En un domingo lluvioso y acompañada de un cafecito, saqué mis herramientas y materiales de bisutería, y me dediqué a diseñar un nuevo accesorio. Mientras iba escogiendo las piezas y combinando colores, sentí cómo poco a poco se aquietaban mis pensamientos hasta sentir un poco de sosiego.🌿✨

Hoy, agradezco profundamente mis habilidades, pues en momentos como estos, crear con mis manos me calma y me hace sentir que el tiempo se detiene y mi atención se enfoca solo en lo que estoy haciendo. Crear me ha permitido en los últimos año meditar de una manera sencilla y natural, sin esfuerzo, encontrar un refugio de paz, y una manera de sanar.🌿✨
