Playboy Style: The Controversy Handled Cleverly

Hello friends of Steemit, aka Elys, with another drawing, this time in homage to Hugh Hefner, considered by some as the "Walt Disney of Adult Entertainment". Thanks to the help of investors, a bank loan and a thousand dollars from his mother, in December of 1953 Hugh Hefner managed to publish the first number of the magazine "Playboy", using for the cover a photo of Marilyn Monroe (of photographic sessions before being Marilyn Monroe) that had bought few years ago for 500 dollars. He was imprisoned in 1963 for promoting "obscure literature" and was released after the jury could not reach a verdict. Although he lived a life of magnate surrounded by controversy he was also a constant and persevering person who worked all his life, not from necessity but from principles: Hefner said that retiring would be the first step towards the tomb.

Working as a journalist previously in editorials such as 'Esquire' and an academic degree in arts and psychology and a major in creative writing at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Hefner was well prepared and knew how to reach the masses through the image and a clear concept, which for many is intelligent and for others superficial. With a cool logo, interesting reports and pictures of beautiful women, Hugh Hefner opened the window to the enjoyment of eroticism and sexuality, getting rid of old ideas about sex.
