Rental nightmare.... backyard renovation DIY

Soooo..... we had renters in my house for several years and was in for quite a shock .... This is how my yard and pool looked when I got access to my home.

I don’t believe they did ANY upkeep during their time at my home. PLEASE...if you have a rental property, no matter how well you “know” them, check on your house monthly or this could be you. Look at the plants and trees... holy crap, what a mess!(

It was absolutely heartbreaking to see such a Beautiful pool in such disarray .There were all kinds of little creatures that had made their home in my pool.... sorry everyone... it’s moving time.

To me the trimming and cleanup of the yard was a large task but seeing the facing of the hot tub and other parts of the pool brought me to tears! How can someone live like this? How can someone have no respect for the beauty? After months of labor, draining, pressure washing, and repairing rock work she is well on her way back to her previous glory.
