A few weeks ago, a friend did my nails using a new effect called Rubber. The nails look beautiful, and the best part is that it’s not an abrasive process. So, I took the opportunity to buy the things I needed to do them myself.

Let’s just say this little purchase is a form of self-love because I absolutely love getting my nails done and always having them look nice. Back in Venezuela, I used to do them all the time, and since my nails grow long naturally, I also maintained them at home with a nice shape and pretty colors. I have long, slender hands.

Last year, I tried several nail systems, but honestly, they left my natural nails very weak and damaged. So, I decided to stop using them (even though I love how they look). Right now, my nails are short, and I’m enjoying how they look with the Rubber effect. It doesn’t matter if they’re short—this material will help them grow stronger and harder.

I had been looking for this dark wine color for a while, and when I finally found it yesterday, I took the chance to paint my nails. The base is transparent Rubber, which adds thickness to the nail and makes it stronger. I think the nail polish brand I bought isn’t the best because it wasn’t that easy to apply. But we’re practicing—short nails are tricky to even out without spilling polish on the sides. With patience, great results can be achieved.

This time, I absolutely loved my DIY manicure! Now I just want to keep buying more things to make them even prettier 😍.

Hace algunas semanas una amiga me hizo las uñas con un nuevo efecto llamado Rubber, las uñas quedan bonitas y lo mejor es que no es un proceso abrasivo entonces aproveché de comprar las cosas que necesitaba para hacerlas yo misma.

Digamos que esta pequeña compra es un poco de amor propio porque yo soy amante de hacerme manicure y tener las uñas bonitas siempre. En Venezuela me las hacía constantemente y como siempre me crecen largas, yo también las mantenía en casa con un corte y colores bonitos. Tengo manos delgadas y largas.

El año pasado me puse varios sistemas pero la verdad quedan las uñas naturales muy débiles y deterioradas así que preferí dejar ponerme (aunque amo cómo se ven). Ahorita mismo las tengo cortas y estoy disfrutando cómo se ven con el Rubber no importa que estén cortitas la uña crecerá fuerte y más durita con este material.

Tenía tiempo buscando este color vino oscuro y ayer que lo encontré aproveché de pintarlas. La base es Rubber transparente, le da una capa de grosor a la uña y la pone más fuerte. Creo que la marca de pintura que compré sí es un poco chimba porque no sé hizo tan sencillo pintar la uña. Pero vamos practicando, las uñas cortas son todo un tema para emparejar y que no se derrame todo por los lados. Con calma se logran grandes resultados.

En esta ocasión amé mi manicura casera, ya quiero comprar y comprar cosas para hacerlas más bonitas 😍
