Take care, always [ESP/ENG]

And my favorite month is almost here—another year of life, another Christmas. But I know this one will be different, because I’ve worked for that. I’ve been feeding my self-esteem even more. Despite the challenges the past years left me, I’ve learned to love myself a little more again. I’m not always in “on” mode, but this year has really shown me the path to recover after a low moment. And therapy has helped a lot with that too.

Self-love stopped being a theory and now I embrace it with much more awareness. I think everyone eventually reaches a point where they discover themselves, and that helps them appreciate who they are. It’s also important to recognize ourselves as evolving beings, not static ones. I used to think that being authentic meant staying the same. But I’m actually a hopeless lover of change! Now I understand that waves remain waves, even as the current moves them.

Anyway, personal growth is one of my favorite topics in life—I could go on forever about how much taking care of myself has helped me. Seeing myself with makeup, with my hair done, and enjoying it again… it was something I had lost for a while.

Y va llegando mi mes favorito, un año más de vida, una navidad más. Pero sé que será diferente porque he trabajado por eso. He alimentado aún más mi autoestima. Pese a los retos que me dejaron los años anteriores, volví a quererme un poco más. No siempre estoy modo on, pero este año me ha sabido mostrar el camino para recuperarme después de un bajón. Y en eso ha ayudado muchísimo la terapia también.

El amor propio dejó de ser una teoría y ahora lo abrazo con más consciencia. Pienso que todos en algún momento llegan a descubrirse así mismos y eso los ayudará un montón a apreciar lo que son. También es importante reconocernos como seres evolutivos, no estáticos. Antes pensaba que ser auténtica significaba quedarme sin cambios. ¡Y yo soy una amante empedernida del cambio! Ahora entiendo que las olas siguen siendo olas pese a la corriente que las mueven. En fin, la construcción personal es uno de mis temas favoritos en la vida podría seguir hablando de lo mucho que me ha ayudado cuidarme más, verme maquillada, peinada y disfrutar de eso, era algo que había perdido hace tiempo. ¿Y tú cómo te confrontas contigo mismo? 👀
