THE BARE NECESSITIES.
There is so much going on in the world right now, so much. The energy in the universe is rough and it is taking a toll on everything and everyone. It is times like this that requires a little more minimalistic approach to our day to day activities and lifestyle.
This is a time to look for the bare necessities, to prioritize, move things around to better suit the tune currently being played by the pipers.
Just like a greater part of the world’s population, I have been affected in so many ways by the current economic crises the world is facing.
The inflation we have witnessed and continue to face is overbearing and right now, life is hardly about living but about survival. At least for me it is. I just have to make sure I survive at this point. This is no longer the time to chase luxuries and vain things. I am a vain girl, who believes money is for spending and more will always come. I have always loved my abundance mentality as it has always has its effects and projections in my life. But right now, I know I have to do things a little differently for sustenance.
I am grateful that the bare necessities of life continues to make themselves available to me, as I continue to move in that direction.
It is not easy living in a third world, one that is currently under financial crises and reeling from natural disasters. Earnings are now at a bare minimum and the chain of supply continues to thin out. What can one do differently to make sure the bare necessities of life?
For one, I have decided to set my priorities straight; focusing only on the things that matter and the people that matter. Because believe me, we are all running low in energy just like the world is currently running low on resources. I am tired most of the time, burnt out from stress and everything, so I’m only focusing my energy in the things and people that matter.
I have also become quite the budgeter. I literally have to plan and write down every little expense, to help me track and be more in control of my outflow of cash. I have had to make tough choices, difficult planning and also being honest with and accountable to myself in all aspects of my life.
My decision to focus on the bare necessities includes identifying my needs, the most basic ones, and separating them from my wants. I had to stop indulging my urges and appetites in the degrees I used to, and some I have paused completely in order for me to stay afloat. It hasn’t been easy but I also haven’t died.
Setting realistic goals and tailoring them around my non negotiable necessities is what’s saving me right now.
We look forward to the passing of the storm, but I’m certain my financial habit and future will be grateful for the measures I’m taking and lessons I’m learning in the moment.
