Dear friends,today I am going to discuss some important points on CVS ie.Computer Vision Syndrome:-

1.WHAT IS CVS?

Computer Vision Syndrome(CVS) is a very real problem for many people who spend hours daily in front of a computer screen.

It is characterized by visual symptons which result from interaction with a computer display or its environment.Eye strain and other symptons of CVS occurs in adults as well as children.

2.Symptoms of CVS:-

If one spends more than two hours a day in front of a computer screen,then he may experience some level of CVS.

Symptoms of CVS includes:-
(i) Headaches
(ii) Loss of focus
(iii)Burning eyes
(iv)Double vision,blurred vision

4.Some importent steps for relief in CVS:

1-Get eye tes done.
2-Blink your eyes more often and keep them lubricated.

3-Exercise your eyes by looking away fromthe computer every 20 mins.
4-Take frequent breaks.
5-If you wear bifocal or progressive lenses,position the screen lower in relation to your eyes.
6-Position the top of the monitor(as shlwed in above figure) just below a level horizontal with your eyes.Tilt the top of the screen away from you at a 10-20 degree angle.
