Hivefleet Rotah: Jewelry
Hello everyone!
I just want to share my new self-made tyranid earrings with you:
Also this topic is just fine to make a test post after the recent HF20 - now that some time passed and things seem to work a little more like normal again.
I must admit that the earrings were not my idea, some images on the internet were my inspiration. Since then I always wanted to make my own and now I've done it :)
I drilled a hole in the head of the ripper and cutted the little hill on the lower side. Then I carefully smoothened the lower tail and painted the ripper just as I paint a regular miniature. Then I attached the earring-thing (seriously I don't have a clue how these are (properly) called in german, so finding the english equivalent isn't easier) and applied several coats of clear varnish. To make them less shiny I applied two coats of matt varnish as a finish.
Some useless fact at the end: I forgot to make the black eye dots I usually make... And I just found out when I wore them the first time. Shame on me. I'll add them sometime, I promise, you little jewelry rippers! You will see the world one day! :D
