Gaming Fisherman Fishing Shack update (LOTRO, T&L, SDV)
Here is an update on how things are going with the fishing shacks in the 3 games I am recording audio of 'The Gaming Fisherman'.
LOTRO:
Took a bit of research but I decided to buy Peak 1 Way at the Rohan Homestead for my Fishing Shack idea.
The wood aesthetic of the house and the location of a nearby lake made it an obvious choice. I finally had a place to put up my taxidermy trophies from fishing and completing the Trout deed.
Very fun! Though I am not sure where else I can acquire more unique furniture to fill the house up with. Do I have to do dungeons like modern MMOs or is it just a vendor that sells it?
That'll be a small dilemma to solve later.
Throne and Liberty:
Furniture crafting is a whole other element I hadn't thought of but the resources I need to create fishing rods are higher quality resources & need to be farmed so I have spare materials to create furniture. So it works out! The base quality lumber and ore are gathered normally while uncommon and more rare materials are deposited into my 'Fishing Rod' slots. I still need the jade crystals found from small fishing sacks obtained by fishing but it's slowly happening!
I crafted a fishing hook, fish basket, and a weapon holder. I am still in the basement and need to acquire more 'house points' to be able to purchase a deed to an actual house with a window.
Stardew Valley:
I have only played this game for less than 8 hours despite owning it for 2 years but with my recent decision to uninstall games that do not add to my game time I find I am enjoying playing the game during the quiet hours. I haven't made enough money to expand the house itself but I did fish up an awesome sword from a chest!
It was silly how excited I felt when the chest opened up and I saw the sword. I don't even remember taking this screenshot but I must've pressed the screenshot button in my excitement.
Conclusion:
Things are trucking along. There is no real rush to complete anything here but this does give another layer to my audio recordings for interested parties. I am also using this as a test bed to show off how others can create using different methods and mediums.
There is no set time on when I will next post an update as there is no set time on when I have a free duration to play these games and further my aesthetical goal.
That's about it. Thank you for reading!
Happy Gaming!
