description.
The type operator in PHP is helpfl in determining, whether the particular variable is an instance of a class. Therefore, PHP has provided its Language Contruct called instanceof, which determines whether the variable is an instance of a class or not.
This operator has more association with class objects therefore you should understand how classses work in PHP.
