What I wanted

As an explorer and a kitchen explorer to the core, I have been so eager to try out the homemade popcorn. All I wanted was to make my own pop corn and devour it in pride.

The day was here finally.

I got some corn grains from the market and then went straight to the kitchen. (I bet if my kitchen can speak, it would complain "She’s here again")

I thought it was just heat oil, stir the corn and cover it to pop. Well, that was what I have been seeing from the videos I watched and c’mon looks simple as ABC to me.

It was my confidence for me that day. I couldn’t wait to crawl before I start to walk. That day, I decided to fly at my first attempt, I wanted to standout to create my own recipe, then I added peanut butter mixed with the vegetable oil in the pot to have a peanut taste and I began to stir the corn.

What I got from the second attempt, the first was so bad (picture is mine)

Me: Sis, it’s not popping...It’s burning!

Sis: Why na or is it the oil?

Me: I dunno o.

That was when I realized I was making a burnt sacrifice. Popcorn gone wrong!

I made a second attempt again to pop another set of corn. This time it was without peanut butter. The outcome is as seen in the picture. This one was popping and burning at the same time to I gave. But will definitely try again next time and be more prepared.

Do have a lovely day filled with sweet popcorn, but not like mine though😂
