Have you ever been in a position where by you get to decide or make judgment about a situation at hand relating to a particular person knowing fully well that whatever your judgement is, it can either justify or destroy the person.

I’ll use myself as a case study and this story happened long ago. I have a younger brother, his name is Peter, our age gap is just 3 years different and he’s my only brother. While growing up as kids, our parents decided to enroll us in the same school, I was in the senior class and it was my first year in the senior class, while he was in the junior class.

On this particular day, while in school everything going well and smoothly in class then suddenly I got a call from the principal. Going to the principal office I was so nervous and scared like I was wondering what I could have done wrong because she was so strict and we feared her a lot.

On getting to the principals office, My brothers teacher was there and she informed me that my brother was pushed by a classmate of his and he fell off the stairway.Hearing this my heart jumped and stopped beating for that moment, he’s someone I cherished and love so much hearing such a news broke my heart to pieces.

I rushed out immediately to see my brother in the sickbay. He broke an arm and his knees were badly injured. I cried watching him there, he told me to stop crying that he was only playing with his friends when it happened. I asked in anger who pushed him?

They took me to the boy that did it, I met him playing innocently with other boys but I couldn’t do anything to him. Yes I wanted to take my revenge on him for brother by pushing him too... EYE FOR AN EYE... but I still couldn’t do anything but it was like taking justice into my own hands.

The school invited my parents and the boys parents to resolve the issue and to hear from my parents what punishment should be served to the boy. But as usual my parent didn’t say anything regarding to the boys punishment because his parents had already apologized and that was how the case ended.

Others who heard this story, the condition of my brother and the decision my parents made regarding to the issue by doing nothing, some felt disappointed while others applauded them for taking such decisions.
