A prayer of thanks and reflection

I’m thankful for the world in which I live and I understand that not all enjoy the same world as I do. I pray for a better time where our differences no longer arouse suspicion, instead they peak interest and acceptance. I pray we understand ourselves as human beings and come to realise our potential for creation, for that is our virtue. I look around me and I’m thankful for what we have created, for what we have cultivated, and for what we have imagined into life. The new world is truly beautiful. I take time to thank myself for the labour I endure in order to provide myself and those who rely upon me the luxury I presently enjoy. Soon I will return to work and while I may not enjoy this I must remember why.

Be that by politicians or gods, there is a better way than what our masters have envisioned. I believe that the meek will inherit the earth one day, but we will need to find balance, peace, and come to understand the unique gifts we have as a species. We are a wondrous creature and the only ones with power to create a better world. May we all find our way.
