Hola querida comunidad de Hive, hoy les traemos un video de cómo hicimos la decoración de un espejo que fue anteriormente elaborado en cartón con forma redonda.

Desde hace un tiempo este espejo estaba guardado para darle decoración y vida, así que este fue un buen momento para hacer un video y publicarlo en la comunidad @Espavlog.

Cómo pueden apreciar en el video teníamos una parte elaborada, un poco ancho, así que decidimos cortarle un poco y dejarlo más corto para que no ocupe tanto espacio.

Una vez menos ancho le dimos decoración en fibra de Fique, trenzado a mano primeramente haciendo una trenza de más de 20 metros (a simple cálculo). Con este trenzado le fuimos dando la decoración pegando la trenza, usando pegante blanco no tóxico para cuidar la salud. Así le fuimos dando vuelta y vuelta hasta completarlo al borde.

Al estar cubierto todo el cartón le dimos una finalización por el borde con el mismo trenzado, esta vez un poco más ancho para que se diferencie el estilo pequeño del trenzado a un estilo más robusto y notorio.

La parte de atrás para colgar el espejo también se trabajó con trenzado, reforzado con papel, cartón y pegante blanco.

Este proceso de decoración tomó 2 días, haciendo el trenzado nos llevó la mitad del tiempo invertido y otra parte la decoración y detalles finales.

Hello dear Hive community, today we bring you a video of how we made the decoration of a mirror that was previously made in cardboard with round shape.

For some time this mirror was saved to give it decoration and life, so this was a good time to make a video and publish it in the community @Espavlog.

As you can see in the video we had an elaborate part, a little wide, so we decided to cut it a little and leave it shorter so it does not occupy so much space.

Once it was less wide, we decorated it with Fique fiber, braided by hand, first making a braid of more than 20 meters (by simple calculation). With this braid we gave the decoration by gluing the braid, using non-toxic white glue to protect our health. This way we went around and around until we completed it to the edge.

Once all the cardboard was covered, we finished the edge with the same braid, this time a little wider to differentiate the small style of the braid to a more robust and noticeable style.

The back part to hang the mirror was also worked with braiding, reinforced with paper, cardboard and white glue.

This decoration process took 2 days, making the braiding took us half of the time invested and the other half the decoration and final details.
