USES:

Treatment of 2° amenorrhea
Post menopausal atrophy of the vagina
Urogenital symptoms
Urinary urgency
Dysuria

The drug is also used for the purpose not listed here.

Up till a few years ago, I didn't know that the major use of this drug was for termination of pregnancy.

After a lil research, I found out that the components of this drugs aren't in the 2017 BNF, nor the EMDEX

The makers of this drug actually intended it for the treatment of secondary amenorrhoea
Abusers have changes its use to an abortifacient and contraceptive.

Funny enough, however the proliferation of abuse, no recorded case of effectiveness as an abortifacient.

My take home.....when a patient/ customer comes for this drug either as POM or OTC, if you can't determine what they want to use it for on the prescription per say....I'll probably give a proper education not only on this drug but rational drug use
