Do you know the Fregosa?
The fregosa or Capraria Biflora belongs to the genus Capraria of the escrofulariáceas family. This plant is native to America.
Description
The fregosa is a perennial herb, very branched, can reach up to one meter in height. Its leaves are pointed and elongated. This plant contributes in many occasions to the revegetation of soils.
At the tip of the stem grow some bell-shaped flowers, small, white. Its fruits are oblong seeds that fall once the capsule that covers them has dried.
Medicinal properties
This plant can treat different conditions such as: joint pain, diabetes, gonorrhea, diseases associated with the uterus and the urethra.
It is also attributed properties to treat diseases of the digestive system, high fevers, colds, hypertension, diabetes, acne and in case of inflammation caused by insect bites.
The active component of the fregosa is the biflorina, this acts as an antibiotic and fungicide, while its other components lacapriasiosida harpagida and act as analgesics.

-.One of the main uses that is given to the fregosa is to decongest the respiratory tract, because it is a hot drink it is a cold and for the asthmatics it is very favorable.
Consumption
The most general way to consume this plant is through infusions. From it you can consume its leaves and flowers. If you want to prepare a cup of Frego Tea you should add it in boiling water, be it three or four leaves or flowers.
It is very important to know that the consumption of this plant, as well as others, should be done with strict care, since it can cause allergies. In this case, highly concentrated infusions of vermicompost can cause paralysis.
