Burrowing Owls at the park

As I was walking around at the park I captured a few pics of burrowing owls hanging out outside their nest. There are a few of them sharing this nest. I never seen owls up close, only on videos and pics but never encountered them so close, they seem to be use to people because I got real close to take some pics... Here some facts about the burrowing owls:

Usually the burrowing owls have different behavior than other typical owls, these owls are mainly active during the day, especially in the spring when they gather food for their large broods. This species of owl prefers open areas with low ground cover. They can often be found perching near their burrow on fence posts and trees. Burrowing owls eat small mammals such as moles and mice during late spring and early summer. Later they switch to insects, especially grasshoppers and beetles. Burrowing owls are also known to eat birds, amphibians and reptiles.
During the nesting season the most common material used for their nest is mammal dung, as the dung is believed it helps to control the microclimate inside the burrow and to attract insects, which the owls may eat.
