House Party With Friends Before Christmas

Hi! Hello! 👋

It was decided that we will have some kind of a house party at my place on December 23rd. It's not the kind of party where people are wild, wasted, and dancing to some loud music. But rather a time spent with friends over food, a few games, and drinks.

We met up around 1pm to have lunch first near my place. Although it was a weekend, it wasn't crowded and we were seated immediately. It's a restaurant that serves different kinds of Japanese food. We ordered different sets of meals.

It was past 2pm when we finished eating. We stopped by the supermarket to buy ingredients for spaghetti, drinks, and chips. And then head on to my place right after.

We started preparing for our dinner when we arrived. I brought back some ace biscuits and condensed milk from my recent vacation in the Philippines so we made some munchkins. It brought back memories from our younger days (we are still young though 😆) while making it.

While busy with munchkins, someone was also chopping the onions and garlic for the spaghetti sauce. After the munchkins, started cooking spaghetti and frying spring rolls. @wittyzell bought prewrapped Japanese spring rolls so we didn't have to make our own. I have some frozen ready-to-cook calamares as well so it was fried after the spring rolls were done.

We bought some drink called ukon no chikara (ウコンの力) that is said to help lessen hangover when drinking liquor. There were only 6bottles available but there were 7 of us. 2 people were not there yet so we decided that who ever arrives first will get to drink the last bottle 😆 So while preparing the food we also prepared ourselves for what's to come.

We only cooked few dishes but the others brought some food as well so there were plenty of food for everyone. Thanks @wittyzell for the fruit salad. Someone bought Korean fried chicken and another brought a cake. It felt like the food won't be enough when we were preparing but after the table was set up I realized we had more than enough 😆😆 Before eating we were taking some photos but then suddenly we were competing about who took the nicest picture 😆 It took us a while before we've had enough 🤣

All in all, these are all that we prepared:

• Spaghetti
• Japanese spring rolls
• Korean fried chicken
• Calamares
• Fruit salad
• Munchkins
• Chocolate Cake
• Chips
• Soju
• Fruit drinks
• Softdrinks
• And some other liquor
  That black drink in a measuring cup near the sojus is a mixed alcoholic drink, I didn't have other pitcher. 😆

After eating we had some card games for a couple of hours and everyone was very competitive. We were so loud, I'm pretty sure my neighbors heard us. Thankfully I did not receive any notice about being noisy and no police knocked on my door. 😆

When it was getting late, the others need to catch their last trains so we started packing the leftovers for them to take home. We were so chaotic and funny while packing that we were laughing so hard at ourselves. In the end everyone got portions of the leftovers. I also had my shared packed I was laughing at it why.
