Did you know that; Jan Van Eck, CEO of the financial giant VanEck, shared his predictions about Bitcoin in a recent interview with Scott Melker. According to Van Eck, Bitcoin's market capitalization could reach at least half of gold's market capitalization within the next decade.

Currently, gold's market capitalization is about $15.7 trillion, while Bitcoin's is about $1.36 billion. This target, approximately $7.85 trillion, is considered achievable due to the growing interest of the Traditional financial sector (TradFi) in Bitcoin.

Van Eck believes it will take another five to ten years to reach this goal, mainly because of the confusion still present among TradFi clients regarding Bitcoin. However, the interest from investment funds is increasing, and it is expected that more and more funds will include Bitcoin in their clients' portfolios, both in the United States and globally. 🌏

This process will require a shift towards a more open mindset regarding Bitcoin.

Furthermore, Van Eck highlights the importance of Bitcoin's role outside the purview of the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT). 📊

International investors, in particular, might be attracted by the possibility of operating outside the constraints imposed by SWIFT and the U.S. financial system, which is subject to political controls. This desire for independence could further boost the adoption of Bitcoin as an alternative to gold and as an investment asset.
