Come Closer | colored pencil drawing

Hey Hi there!
Wow, it's been a while, this past month really feels like two in one.

I really want to catch up on sharing all the drawings and paintings in my sketchbook. I like them so much, they deserve to be seen :)
So now that we're slowly getting settled in the new environment, I hope I can get back to blogging more often.

I started drawing this a day before we left our last house-/cat sitting situation in Italy about a month and a half ago and worked on it while we were traveling to Portugal.

I was just about to write that I don't really get it and that I don't even particularly like it, but now that I think about it, it actually reflects perfectly how I felt this past month.
Everything was so extreme and inconsistent, uncomfortable, spiky, dreamy, dark. Birthing something new.

So funny that an artwork's meaning sometimes shows itself only after some time.
Now I'm really glad this drawing exists, it's like a time capsule of this (very challenging but important) part of my journey.
