Install Windows 11 on Linux VMware Workstation. (Part- 1)

After installing the VMware Workstation on the Linux operating system, we have configured 11 for installation on VMware Workstation. After that, we also fixed 2 errors, GCC not found on Linux VMwareand Fix “Could not open /dev/vmmon” Error on Linux | VMware Workstation Kernel Module Fixin previous blogs, now in this blog, we will learn how to install Windows 11 on Linux VMware Workstation.

1. Open the VMware Workstation, and it will ask for the Virtual machine's encrypted password, which we have set while the confugration the windows 11 for the installation. Enter the password and click on continue.

   

2. Now turn on the Windows 11 virtual machine by clicking on "Start up this guest operating system"

   

3. Here, press any key within 10 seconds to boot.

   

4. Select language settings- Language to install- select the language as you want, after that, also select Time and currency format, depending on which country you live in, and then click on Next.

   

5. Select keyboard settings- select Keyboard or input method, it also depends on which country you live in, and then click on Next.

   

6. Select setup option- I would like to- select Install Windows 11, after that tick - I agree everything will be deleted, including files, apps, and settings. Don't worry, it won't affect anything on the Linux host machine, and now click Next.

   

7. Here, it will ask for the Product key. Simply click on I don't have a product key.

   

8. After that, select the image operating system that you want to install. I am installing Windows 11 Pro, and click Next.

   

9. Here, Accept the license terms-

   

10. Now, Select the location to install Windows 11, select the space which you have set while configuring the installation, and click Next.

    

11. Ready to install- click on Install.

    

    Here, it will take some time to install.

    

    After that, it will restart the Windows 11 virtual machine, and it will take more time on installation.

    

12. Now, select your country or region and click Yes.

    

13. Here, select the keyboard layout or input method and click Next.

    

14. Here, if you want to add more keyboard layouts, click Add layout, or you can Skip.

    

15. Now, we have another error, it asks to Install driver, and the Next option is blocked.
