How to create a Windows 11 bootable pen drive on Linux

In Windows system, bootable USB drive can be easily to create for any operating system, there are multiple tools available for Winodws, but if you are a Linux user, you will face many difficulty to find a perfect religible tool for create bootable USB drive, there are very limited tools made for Linux, and 90% of them do not work at all, so, I tested a tool which works very well and create Windows bootable pen drive in Linux system, and with which you can install Windows operating system in any system.

In today's blog, we will learn how to create a Windows 11 bootable USB drive in a Linux system using the WoeUSB tool, which is 100% working; it will work in any Debian-based Linux system, such as Ubuntu, Debian, Kali Linux, ParrotOS, Linux Mint, etc

Here, we will install WoeUSB, and after that, we will create a Windows 11 bootable USB drive.

Install the WoeUSB tool on Linux

1. Open the terminal, update and upgrade the system, run this command-

   sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade -y
   

2. Install all requirements dependencies-

   sudo apt install git p7zip-full python3-wxgtk4.0 build-essential devscripts equivs git p7zip-full python3-all python3-pip python3-setuptools python3-wheel python3-wxgtk4.0 grub2-common grub-pc-bin parted dosfstools ntfs-3g
   

3. Clone the repository in your system from GitHub-

   git clone https://github.com/WoeUSB/WoeUSB-ng.git
   

4. Go to the WoeUSB-ng directory-

   cd WoeUSB-ng
   

5. Finally, install the WoeUSB with python-

   sudo python3 setup.py install
   

Create a Windows bootable USB Drive on WoeUSB

1. Insert a minimum 16GB USB drive for Windows 11.

2. Open the WoeUSB tool from the terminal, Type and proceed-

   sudo woeusbgui
   

   The WoeUSB interface will look like this-

   

3. From the disk image (iso) explore and select the Windows ISO image file

   

4. Select the target device and click on install

   

5. Here, click on yes

   

6. Here, it will take some time to make it bootable

   

7. Installation completed. Now the USB drive is ready to boot
