Hello beautiful members of the community.

Welcome to another new week. Today I want to share a beautiful story of "one good turn deserves another."

Meet my friend Oghenekaro, a beautiful friend of mine who has gotten my back for the longest.

I recall how she showed up for me in my lowest and always made sure I was good. So last weekend she needed a favor from me.

She was very sick and couldn't figure out what to wear for an event she had, she reached out to me complaining about it all and I whispered in my heart.. "Say no more!"

I knew she was a lover of white and the best thing to pair white is, with black.

What do I make for her to make her feel comfortable and elegant at the same time? I thought to myself and then, this stylish two piece inspiration came to mind.

I went to my fabric vendor and got two kinds of fabric. The white Jokonso and the black crepe. For the crepe I got about two yardage and the white, three yardage.

I knew her hip, waist and bust measurements before now, so it was easy to surprise her.

I drafted the pant using her hip and waist measurements and her trouser length measurements.

For the boubou, I used her under bust circumference and waist to achieve.
It was just a straight cut with inner belt on the waistline to give the fitted effect.

I made a standard neckline cut and also made ruches at the hem of the dress where the slit stopped.

When I was done I knew she was going to love it.

Since I was traveling to her state for a program, I dashed her area and told her to meet me somewhere in her hood. She was surprised I was around and when she did, I handed her the packaged outfit.

"What's this? " She asked with a surprised look, but I told her it was a gift from me to her, as my support to her. How can your friend be a fashion designer and you wouldn't have something nice to wear?

She was so excited and the next day, she sent me pictures of her on the outfit I gifted her. It fit perfectly like a glove!

That was all that mattered to me. She looked elegant as she should look and the joy in her face said it all.

she told me how she got a lot of compliment and how she gave my number to two people who wanted to make something similar.

My gift opened more doors of clients and that's something huge for me.
