DIY Paper Mache Canvas Using a Shoe Box | Easy Tutorial for Beginners

I'll show you how to create a sturdy canvas using newspaper and a shoe box top in this easy DIY tutorial!

Ever wondered how you can make your very own canvas without having to buy extra canvas at a store?

Supplies:
Shoe Box
newspaper
gesso primer: https://amzn.to/2zJU75d
tacky glue: https://amzn.to/2Jsfzex

First get a shoe box and get the box top. That will be your base.

Then, cut out newspaper strips and apply several layers on the shoe box top using a mixture of Gesso primer and tacky glue.

Let dry and repeat with gesso primer to get a completely white surface. If you want to keep that newspaper, paper mache background, do not apply that extra layer of gesso.
