What Itaewon Class Taught Me About Life, Pain, and Never Giving Up
This drama really help me get up because I was on the verge of giving up on a particular trials for several months, but after watching itaewon class everything changed.
I recently finished watching Itaewon Class and It got to my thinking and I can’t stop thinking about it. This K-drama isn't just about entertainment it taught me some deep lessons about life, pain, and the power of not giving up.
The story follows Park Sae-Ro-Yi, a young man who experienced a terrible tragedy. He lost his father in an accident caused by a rich man’s son, and when he stood up to fight for himself, he ended up in jail. His life turned upside down. But what inspired me the most was how he refused to give up, even when life was unfair.
After getting out of prison, instead of living in fustration and anger, he opened a small restaurant in Itaewon. But at first It didn’t go well . He struggled with money, and people didn’t believe in him, and the big company that caused his pain tried to destroy him again and again. But Sae-Ro-Yi stayed focused. He believed in his dream, in his people, and in doing things the right way.
One thing that really touched me was how he treated his team. He didn't care about what he has been through or their past or mistakes he gave them chances. That reminded me that sometimes, what people need most is just someone to believe in them.
There’s a scene where he stands alone thinking on the top of the roof, looking at the city, and having the confidence of saying he will make his dream come true no matter what. That part hit me hard. I’ve also had moments in my life where everything felt like it was falling apart, but this drama reminded me that our struggles shape us.
In the end, he won the fight he became stronger, wiser, and more successful than anyone thought it can be possible. And he did it with honesty.
Itaewon Class made me cry, laugh, think deeply about life andmost importantly reflect on my own journey. Life may not be fair, but with faith, hard work, and patience, we can create a better path for ourselves.
If you haven’t watched it yet, I really recommend it. It’s more than a drama, it’s a life lesson.
