Stitch of commitment
Sitting by the window, I sewed clothes for my granddaughter's first day at church. The quiet night allowed my thoughts to wander to the value of commitment. Just as each stitch mattered in the fabric, every choice counts in life. I worked patiently, guiding the needle in and out, as commitment requires steady work - not grand gestures, but daily choices to persevere.
As I sewed, I reflected on how commitment is like this process. It starts with a decision, then requires faithful follow-through. Sometimes, it means fixing mistakes or starting anew. This doesn't signify failure, but care and dedication. Commitment isn't about perfection; it's about being faithful.
When finished, the clothes embodied time, patience, and love. My granddaughter wore them to church, feeling comfortable in something made just for her. Similarly, commitment quietly shapes our lives, providing strength and stability, even when unseen
