The Lotus Flower Tiara
The Lotus Flower Tiara was made in 1923 by the jewellers Garrard for the Queen Mother when she was a young Duchess of York.
The design was inspired by the newly discovered tomb of Tutenkhamun - archaeologists found lotus flowers scattered around the mummy, the lotus flower being the ancient Egyptian symbol of rebirth.
The tiara is made of diamonds and pearls and was originally worn across the forehead - see the Queen Mother below:
More recently it was worn by Princess Catherine at the State Banquet held for President Xi Jinping of China in 2015.
