Painted Ostrich Shells
These ostrich shells were a gift from the President of Namibia to Queen Elizabeth II in 2007.
They've been handpainted by San bushmen tribal artists, featuring a scene common to San art - traditional hunters. Similar scenes have been found in caves in Namibia dating over 70,000 years ago. San bushmen art is the oldest art in human history.
