Never Retire to Truly Live

Nowadays, people consider retirement as the end of a long journey of several working years. It was often said then that retirement is that period when an individual could stop working, at rest, and just enjoy whatever remains of life after those many years in a daily ''drudgery.'' However, there has been an inspiring philosophy that needs to be pondered: never retire — never really stop living with purpose.

By never retiring, it doesn't mean that we should be chained to the work couch until old age. It doesn't mean to push our bodies to keep working in the economic sense. More than that, never retire is about keeping the spirit alive – to continue learning, growing, and contributing at any stage of life we might be in.

A mindset of "never retire" inspires the truth that time is never a reason to stop creating. In fact, as long as our bodies can move and our minds can imagine, we can keep exploring new things, sharing experiences, spreading kindness, or even starting something we've never done before.

So much withdrawal from activity makes passion for life fade away, but with even the smallest of goals, the freshness of life returns. Writing, painting, gardening, teaching, or simply telling stories to the younger generation - all of these are work in the broad sense.

"Never retire" teaches us that life is a continuum for growth and not just the waiting passage of time. As long as we breathe, there is always a chance to add meaning and color - for ourselves and for others.

At the end of the day, living in such a principle as never retire is keeping the fiery passion alive. Retirement is a mere state-act; but the drive to live fully is always a choice.
