It's not the difference but how it's managed: ethnic

Behind the word "ethnic" lies a meaning that is more ancient than recorded history. Ethnicity is a symbol of the fragmentation of conscience. It is subtly and crudely forced out of the human heart, and it is here that nations and tribes truly exist.

All of this arises from something unworthy of being called true humanity. These walls are built from the fear of difference, creating a new space of fear—the fear of one's own shadow. Today, ethnic in life is a aspect that makes humans feel alienated.

Ethnic has become a subtle crack in the era of globalization, twisted into a reason for war, not because of weapons but created by words fueled by fear spread by algorithms, and economic language transformed into caste language. An irony, the more it is spoken, the more groups are marginalized.

Perhaps it is better to let ethnic remain merely a metaphor, for the deepest longing of the human soul is to be recognized without having to conform or homogenize oneself. The desire to be different without being hated, and the desire to live without having to compete and defeat others.
