Cozied Up This Space
Hello, hello everyone!
Hope you are all having a peaceful and relaxing evening. It had been a while since I wrote something about decorating ideas which is also one of my interests.
My little shop is not doing really well lately, but I am thinking of creating other merchandise that fits the fuzzy wire materials. Those are still unfinished and a work in progress, and today I did not want to think anymore, so I went to my parents' house wanting to clear my head and was looking for that familiar happy feeling of home. The house is so quiet now that both our parents are no longer with us. today I just wanted to rest my mind for a second. Do some meditating or simply have a quiet moment.
Then this part of the living and dining area caught my attention -- this wooden table piled with all sorts of clutter. Did a little dusting here and organizing there. I thought the old olla stuck in the corner could match the wooden table so well, then topped with dried branches from our duhat tree we cut down a few years ago. These branches are used during holiday decorations, but today they can totally be used to beautify a space without spending a dime. It looks so nice standing right beside our spiral stairs. That empty wall needs something and these branches are just enough to fill that height.
The LED lights from the holiday decorations are reused too to give the twigs a soft glow. The only new purchases are the pair of lamps, which were used for my birthday celebration last June. These are battery operated which is good and handy. All the lights are LED, they are energy-efficient, and cost-effective, so they are perfect for saving on electricity while making the room cozy.
It is a lot of work and involves menial tasks to arrange everything, but it is a nice break from the happy hustle of my small business. It just goes to show you can make something beautiful out of memories.
What do you think of this duhat branch transformation? Do you prefer bright, white lights in your home, or are you a fan of cozy, warm yellow lighting like me? Let me know your thoughts in the comments. Shout out to my fellow creatives in the drawaday community I have not forgotten about you guys and our small community.
