Here I made a comparison on how I decorated this part of our parent's house during a Christmas season 2024 vs 2023

December 2024

This is the most recent decoration I made last Christmas on the stairs of our parents' house. Same black iron stairs. Notice the walls are finished unlike in 2023. I went for black and beige the idea is to create a coffee bar or nook during Christmas. My brother made the illustrations of several coffee drinks and I hang it on the stairs embellished it with existing Christmas baubles, crystal raindrops and white birds perched on tree branches that came from our orchard.

Now look at this photo from 2023 same coffee bar / nook but this is looking rather dark and unfinished. The house is still under renovation here. The wall is not finished the decors are randomly picked from our stash. We have the same tree branches but these are lit with lights. Here is a photo at night

The lights and the time of the day made a big difference. Looks cozy and warm I still love it to this day.

That is how I usually do things around here I make use of whatever available resources and try to make it work. I love both designs they did not cost much. 2023 Look is all but old stash then 2024 some baubles are new including the coffee illustration by my brother which did not cost me any.
