I had a student, she was exceptionally brilliant. She had started using hijaab, a full one,right from her secondary school. Every one around her believed she was going to be a pride for Islaam with her brilliance and faith.

She was admitted to the best Polytechnic in the State. After her ND, the story almost changed. She came home to tell her parents and elder siblings that she was prepared for marriage!

Well,not bad at her age. But who was the husband? A man already married, not bad as well, but a shop attendant who had no business or job of his own. The family thought "eleyii kii se Oju lasan"

Hell was let loose. She had been indoctrinated at a program she was attending, where everything girls were told was about Nikaah.Even to girls in high schools.

My student was hell bent on marrying the Alfa. Her siblings put their feet down. The Alfa had to be threatened with arrest and criminal prosecution before he let go the girl.

My student returned to school, got her degree and is happily married now.

My sister, the economy is globally stifling, don't be rendered useless in a marriage you and the boy are not ripe for. Watch the program you attend and select the sermon you listen to.

This is a common trend in many of our institutions. My sister, if you have to go into early marriage, ensure the man is stable and supportive.

If a Mallam tells you Allaah says He is the One Who provides for our needs, the provision are the arable land, rivers and seas with edible aquatic lives, forest with game and rain. Angels won't come down with prepared semo.

The Prophet says... ان الله يحب ان ياكل احدكم من كسب عمله
