Monomad - Leaf-footed bug (Coreidae)
This is my entry for the daily #monomad challenge
On this post, I want again to share some interesting insect photos that I managed to photograph today at around 09.24 WIB. As for the insect I mean is known as the Leaf-footed Bug, which scientifically belongs to the Coreidae family. The characteristic of this insect is that it has distinctive hind legs which in other species are sometimes shaped like leaves and also like saw blades.
Furthermore, these insects have long, needle-like mouthparts for piercing and sucking plant fluids. This makes them a pest for plants. And of course another characteristic is that it releases a smelly liquid when it feels threatened. I have uploaded some photos of leaf-footed bugs below.
