Hello 👋

My name is Alejandro, although my friends call me Ale. I am from Cuba, a small island in the Caribbean known for its music, its people, its tobacco and its beaches, although we have much more to offer...

I studied medicine and became a doctor, another one from the Cuban army of doctors (we are also known for that). But my true passion has always been entrepreneurship, business and technology.

First child

In 2020, while I was in college, I founded MERCAZONA with a couple of friends. A delivery application that offers all kinds of products and services on demand. We launched just as Covid was starting to hit the island, and I'm proud to say that we helped, and made a difference for many Cubans.

This year I started using Twitter regularly for the first time, and it has changed my life. I connected with an incredible community, and discovered trends like #NoCode and #BuildInPublic, of which I became a great fan and evangelist.

Second round

With the help of these, I built my second startup VIVENCRYPTO. An online directory of cryptocurrency-related sites, resources, and communities. Thus joining two of my great passions: Entrepreneurship and Cryptocurrencies.

I am currently learning as much as I can, while preparing another project, and recently, I have started to share my journey and what little I have learned with my community on Twitter.

Hello World!

I heard about #Hive from a group of friends that I greatly admire. They told me about Web 3.0, tokenized social networks and I loved the idea. There is unlimited potential and a whole world to discover here.

This is how I discovered Ecency, and today I am beginning my walk in this network. This is my "Hello World" on web 3.0, and I hope, it is the beginning of a new journey that brings me many joys...
