¡Las Islas Flotantes del Perú! [ESP-ENG]

Quiero compartirles una pequeña experiencia vivida en la Provincia de Puno Perú. En las cercanías del Muelle en el Lago Titicaca se encuentran las Islas Flotantes de los UROS, pueblo ancestral que vive en pequeñas comunidades en medio del lago. En esta área no solo vive grupos de familias, al contrario, se ha convertido en un sitio turístico atractivo del país. Para llegar al lugar es necesario tomar unas embarcaciones que nos dirigen a las diferentes comunidades allí existentes. El viaje es corto pero ameno, se goza de un buen clima y de la belleza del Lago, así como de otras vistas naturales.

A warm greeting to the HIVE community!

I would like to share with you a small experience I had in the Province of Puno, Peru. In the vicinity of the dock on Lake Titicaca are the Floating Islands of the UROS, an ancestral people who live in small communities in the middle of the lake. In this area not only live groups of families, on the contrary, has become an attractive tourist site in the country. To reach the place it is necessary to take a boat that will take us to the different communities there. The trip is short but pleasant, you can enjoy a good climate and the beauty of the lake, as well as other natural sights.

Al llegar a la comunidad, los turistas son recibidos por aquellas personas que viven en el sitio. Algunos hacen cantos de bienvenida u otra actividad para el recibimiento o la partida. Luego nos llevan a conocer el lugar y dan una breve explicación de cómo nacieron las Islas Flotantes, de que están hechas y cuál es el proceso de su construcción (Les dejare un pequeño video del mismo). Luego de este proceso se pueden observar los diferentes trabajos artesanales que ofrecen, con una gama de variedades que van desde llaveros hasta alfombras u otras cosas.

Upon arrival at the community, tourists are greeted by those who live on site. Some do welcoming songs or other activities for the reception or departure. After this process you can see the different handicrafts they offer, with a range of varieties ranging from key chains to carpets or other things.

Al terminar el tiempo, tomamos la embarcación y nos trasladan a otra comunidad, donde se pueden observar otras especialidades y también se puede tomar un refrigerio. Allí igualmente se pasa un momento agradable hasta que hacen el ultimo llamado para ir de regreso al muelle. Muchas personas de todas partes del mundo frecuentan este sitio, vale la pena visitarlo mientras se está en esa provincia que además de tener su historia se encuentra ubicada en el Lago más alto del Mundo, el Titicaca. No me queda más por decir, fue una experiencia muy agradable y se las recomienda. ¡Hasta la próxima!

At the end of the time, we take the boat and are transferred to another community, where we can observe other specialties and also have a snack. There we also spend a pleasant moment until the last call is made to go back to the pier. Many people from all over the world frequent this place, it is worth visiting it while you are in this province that besides having its history is located on the highest lake in the world, Lake Titicaca.
