The Flag ceremony at Ulumuddin Boarding School
August 17 2024 will be an important and historic moment for the Indonesian people, because that day marks the 79th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Indonesia. As in previous years, Independence Day celebrations across the country will take place in the spirit of patriotism and national pride.
The flag ceremony at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, is the main center of attention, where the President of the Republic of Indonesia together with high-ranking state officials, national figures and other invited guests will commemorate the moments of the Proclamation. The procession of raising the Red and White flag by the Heritage Flag Raising Troop (Paskibraka) is a moment that is always eagerly awaited and is full of national symbolic meaning.
