Sunday Service
I went to church today. I’m not really a devout Catholic but when my parents pays me a visit, it is a requirement to attend Sunday service. As usual, the church is packed with souls seeking for salvation. The homily was all about poverty.
“Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God.”
The priest delivered a homily probably on par with your neighborhood snake oil salesman that I was so sold. It made sense in that moment.
The next day I saw the priest wearing a golden necklace with golden cross pendant, a golden wristwatch while driving a luxury car.
