A little bit of sparkle and glam just before the beginning of the rest of your life. The final dance, the last hurrah, and a night when the future flickers like sequins beneath twinkling lights. I love photographing matric farewells. The gowns and grins, the excitement and nervousness. The end of a chapter but the beginning of your life.
Each click of the shutter on my camera feels like bottling up a moment. Part nostalgia and part joy.
Leaving high school behind can feel like stepping off a well-worn path into the great unknown. There’s sparkle and celebration — but underneath the glam, there’s also uncertainty.
