Boracay Closed for Rehabilitation

Boracay is definitely one of the most famous vacation spot in the Philippines.
Known for it's long and powdery white sand beach perfect for swimming, relaxing, beach bumming and picture taking.
An island that never seem to sleep as night life aka party time is very much active and always in full blast.
More hotels and other establishments are being built to accommodate the growing number of tourist every year.
With all these factors came one of the islands biggest problems, trash and sewage system.
Which the local government failed to action. Resulting for the island 6 months closure to tourist effective April 2018.

I know travellers are shocked by the news, locals lost their jobs, but the island needed it's much needed beauty rest. ( Boracay is beautiful i know)

I hope other place will learn from this.
Nature is to be respected.
I'm just so glad i had the chance to visit Boracay during one of my solo trips back in June 2017.

The place is indeed beautiful.

Tried helmet diving.

Blue hour

I only stayed for 3 days and only did island hopping which was fine and helmet diving.
Food is definitely pricey.

Hope to visit Boracay again soon.
