Your father was a mesothelioma victim. I'm so sorry. You see how pollution enters into it? I know mesothelioma is usually from occupational exposure, but there are cancer clusters associated with certain residential areas. All of Long Island is essentially a cancer cluster and the Fifth Ward in Houston is another. Both clusters have suspicious associations with pollutants.
Funny about juggling houses...sale and purchase to make it work. We had the contract for our old house on November 9, 2023 and the contract for our new house on November 15 of the same year. One week in a hotel that accepted pets was the bridge.
It was a scary time for me. My husband didn't want to get involved (!!) except for giving a nod (by looking at a picture) for the final choice, so I did the lawyers and all. It was so stressful that I had to change the ringtone on my phone after that. The ringtone became a stress trigger :))
I'm happy it all worked out for you. From what you've written in the past, your father would be so pleased that his tragedy helped you to realize your dream. Life is very strange sometimes.
